Skills Training

The Alamo Community College District consists of five colleges and is a tremendous asset to Schertz employers for skill training and workforce development. Alamo Colleges serve over 100,000 students, offering Associate in Applied Science, Certificate, and Continuing Education programs geared for technical trades. Alamo Colleges three main manufacturing-related training facilities are located within 30 miles of Schertz industrial parks.

Future Outlook

The Texas Workforce Commission provides 2020 employment projections through their Labor Availability Estimator tool. Based on their forecasts, the Alamo region [of which Schertz is a part] will have an increase of over 16% in the available labor for manufacturing related occupations.
